Mazda is recalling 42,000 6 sedans because of SPIDERS?!
Again?!!? Apparently this happened in 2011 too (52,000 cars then). Mazda believes that spiders are drawn to the hydrocarbons and crawl through a vent for the fuel tank. They spin webs in said vent and that causes pressure to increase, which can cause the tanks to crack.
The recall affects 2010-2012 cars with the 2.5-liter engines. They tried a software update, but that didn't help. Also, contrary to all the articles I've Googled, spiders are not insects...

It was on the FP a day ago.... I still haven't heard about it at work which is odd. But then again, once the media gets a hold of something....
